I read the reference -Dark Matter, Evidence, Candidates and
Constraints-. It is clear to me now that D.M. is not some trivial ad hoc
but a serious hypothesis which may be redeemed by substantial empirical
means. The matter is not settled, but it looks like there may be "marrow
in the bones". There is much work to be done before D.M. is tossed away
(assuming it is not confirmed). I am assured that D.M. is in competent
hands.
