What about Information and Entropy?

Information of the Shannon type at least is Probabilistic, and so is
Entropy, but from the interdisciplinary viewpoint it would be wise to
relate this to Cognition, Perception, and Emotion as source of input or
stimuli rather than continue to use the concepts of Information and
Entropy without at all examining the psychological and biological bases
of Knowledge. This doesn't necessarily mean to give up Shannon
Information and Entropy or types derived from them or by analogy with
them, but rather to regard them as more provisional and possibly
phase-limited to certain scenarios.

I have argued here and elsewhere that engineering and computer uses of
"information" are too message-oriented and reflect too much of the
"how" of "information transmission" rather than the meaning of the
messages transmitted, and in this semantic sense (not fully captured by
engineering "semantic information") Knowledge is a good intuitive
replacement for message transmission in my opinion. In any case, it
relates to Cognition and Perception (even if only Perception of
messages) and Emotion.
