Re: Dynamical Systems and Expansion-Contraction

Well, the last quotation beginning "This is hilarious" does describe
Lady Chatterly, but it is also hilarious to notice that Lady
Chatterly's purpose in typing her response is to criticize the fact
that whether I have 19 or 20 items in my two lists is almost irrelevant
to me, and that I included one statistics paper irrelevant to the topic
in my lists. One out of 20 is .05, and when the probability of an
event is less than .05, we call it a Rare Event in
probability-statistics. Would Lady Chatterly call herself a Rare Event
or an Extremely Common Event :>) ?

Ah yes, why did I draw attention to the nations from which the authors
of the papers came? Well, one explanation could be to trap Lady
Chatterly with her foot in her own mouth :>)

Anyway, I will oblige those with "irrepressible curiosity" by listing
the titles of the papers in the next post. For those who can't think
of any other reason for my breaking the list of references into so many
posts, think of it as due to the fact that on Sunday (it is Sunday
here) I am interrupted by a number of visitors and relatives and it is
easier this way to leave the computer while having presented a
"complete module" (take a look again at my postings). There is also
the possibility of raising the attention of people on sci.physics whose
alpha waves happen to have slipped close to sleep levels - though I
certainly wasn't trying to wake up a sleeping dog :>)
