The nations of the first author in the above in approximately the above
order are:
Mexico, Hungary, UK, Germany, Brazil, Croatia, Brazil, Australia,
Brazil, USA, Sweden, Belgium, USA, USA, France, USA, Italy, Italy,
Greece, Italy and UK. I seem to have one too many nations separated by
commas.
Anyway, if we group the nations by "blocs" of first author, the
USA-UK-Italy-Australia bloc has 9 papers approximately, the
French-Belgian-German-Brazil-Hungary-Mexico bloc has 8 papers
approximately, and "wishy-washy" Greece and Sweden and Croatia have one
each.
Although this isn't a random sample of papers or nations or
researchers, it's sort of interesting anyway.
By the way, one USA statistical paper (on GARCH) was thrown in by
mistake.
