Very good points.

My first year at university was the hardest but I was a "mature student" so
it may be different for others. Add to which, the universities here in the
UK are different in teaching style etc so I cant really make anything except
generalised comments.

I would say, if you like physics, if you like seeing how things work, if you
like learning and arent scared of mathematics then it would be a good degree
course to go for. :-)
