Sammy raises a good issue when he points out
that he, and a few other posters in sci.physics,
constantly divert threads from discussions about physics,
to flame wars, with their childish attacks on posters,

which are motivated by a need to stroke their egos,
rather than discuss to physics.

For example, note that Sammy's major contributions
to sci.physics include:

1. Responding to posts with the single word "Plonk",
which is intended to irritate the poster
and get a flame war started.

2. Responding to posts with useless references designed to con
the casual reader, and irritate the poster who expected a
rational, intelligent response to his post. Again, Sammy's tactic
is intended to irritate the poster
and get a flame war started.

3. Responding to posts with a reference to the flame web site of
a computer programmer, who took some data processing courses
at a third rate California college. Again, Sammy's tactic
is intended to irritate the poster
and get a flame war started.

4. Responding to posts with the same old boilerplate dogma
much as the John 3.16 crowd does.
For a Google count of one of his dogmatic positions,
do a search on "There has never been a" and Sam Wormley.
Again, Sammy's tactic is intended to irritate the poster
and get a flame war started.

5. Bushwhacking posters with a low class, childish insult,
rather than ignoring or contributing to the thread.
Again, Sammy's tactic is intended to irritate the poster
and get a flame war started.

As Sammy infers, if he and the flame war instigators
would grow up, and address posts in a rational, intelligent, mature
way,
the flame wars would die a natural death, and sci.physics
would live up to its' name.
