iirc you started your questions from th eblack body radiation
it was a long time ago thast i met it
and while i saked about it here no one volutired to remind me..
peopel here are stigy you know so i took a little
Google search to refresh my momory.

so i thingk you are mingling something about that experiment
in that experiemnt *exteral waves are inserted into a losed box
throgh t a hole
so it is manily noting to do with the box th ebox is just
an inertial host
waht is happening there is th einterference of the external
inserted em waives
th e box is just a mirror 'a trap' of energy'
and energy there acululates if you like .. like in an acululator.
and they are 'reshaped there' mainly by interference.
now as Feuerbacher indicated
it becomes more and more difficult to pump more and more
energy in a certain entity
if you waht a methaphor:
i am sure you pupmed once your bycicle tyers
so th more you pump the more difficult it is ...to add
more in it untill you get the equilibrium between your musles
power and the rejection that comes from the 'pumped ' entity.
btw beleive it or not
that methaphore canserve you to understand the Lorentz factor
ie why it is imposible to accelerate a mass more then C!!
if the 'musles' that do that accelearation are particles
*that their own velocity is no mor ethan C
they cannot haunt the accelerated object more more than C
it is not that the mass becomes bigger !!!!
'th epower cecomes 'weeker' !!!
that was jst a btw remark.

now th e red ligh tof a heated iron is a different story
in that case th eiron is not just a mirror
it is a producer of em waves!!
now you ask about energy levels that emit light
it is no orbiting and no shmorbitin objets
it is *vibrating objects!!
now i will give you another methaphor because IIRC
you was asking for a mechanism!
(and by that you are similar to me ! i laways as primitive
as to look fo ra 'mechanism' i was born that way
nothing to do about it i was born a pessant (:-)(thank Godness..)

so my methaphor for youe energy levels emmitions is as folowes:
immagine a barnach of a tree that has on it a fruit..
th efruit is connected to the branch wih some 'binding energy'
if you satrt to shake the branch softly - nothing will occure
if you shake it mor evigorously it will be torn out
yet that tear out will be just while th e tearing energy will be
as strong as the binding energy of the fruit to the branch
now we are not done yet
supose that this very branch has not only one fruit say at the top
it has another one say at its midele
and just imagin that it is not just one brach but a chin of branches
ie closer to the stem they are thick firther away they are
slim
so thwey will vibrate (in th e wind ) with different frequencies
ther thiner ones will vibrate slower . th ethicher ones
wil vibrate quicer
now the same fruit in that case will be torn
in different frequencies while in different locations
of that tree though its binding energy migh tbe the same
because in order to get a certain tearinf force
it needs th ecombinarion of *frequenct + amplitude*
a samller amplitude need a bigger frequency
a bigger amplitude need a smaller amplitude.(to get the same energy(

and btw th eheated iron does not radiate only red light]
it radiates shrter ferequncies as it becomes hotter.
so
how do you like my methaphore ??

i invented it 'off hand' just while starting to writs
this post (:-)
if i am wrong ..-- just forget it i will find something else (:-)
all th e best
