Again, there are two resisters-- 100K and 1 ohm. The two R's are in
series. The 1 ohm end goes to ground and 100K end goes to output of
amplifier. One end of the 2" wire goes in between the 100K and 1 ohm
resisters.

No, there's a 9.9999 uV ac potential between the 100K and 1 ohm R. You
don't need to short the 1 ohm R with a 2" wire. :-) It's an open wire
just like a yagi antenna. If you want to get into technicalities then
you'll get better response if you connect the middle part of the 2"
wire to the 100K & 1 ohm R. A 1 element yagi usually has the source in
the middle of the element unless you want to put it at the end and get
a wider bandwidth spread.

Again, you were think that I wanted to short the 1 ohm resister with
the 2" wire. Not sure why you thought that but no biggy. Do you get
it now?
