Isn't the purpose of a flywheel to keep the crankshaft rotating
smoothly
as the cylinders fire? So a heavier flywheel has more angular momentum
and keeps the crankshaft rotating smoothly. I'm guessing that this
helps timing issues and this would be where fuel efficiency would come
from...?
