I wonder if Uncle All reads his references???
An excerpt from his reference is listed below.
==============================================
How Long is a Second?
The principals of a caesium beam frequency standard were first
demonstrated by the UK's National Physical Laboratory in 1955 and in
1964 Agilent Technologies (as HP) introduced the first commercially
available product. In 1967 the second was internationally agreed as the
duration of 9,192,631,770 vibrations of the caesium-133 atom.
===========================
End of quote.
As informed folks know:
1. The second is the unit of time.
2. The second is defined as noted above.
Now the confusion of the GTR worshippers comes about
because many things affect the time periods
of various oscillators, pressure, velocity, acceleration, humidity,
temperature, distance, etc.
The "Hubble effect" is the affect that distance has on an oscillator.
The "Doppler effect" is the affect that velocity has on an oscillator.
The "Galileo effect" is the affect that acceleration has on an
oscillator.
The "Potter effect" is the affect that pressure has on an oscillator.
What GTR worshippers do,
is ignore the precision clock that is closest to them,
and spitting out precisely defined, auto-correlated seconds,
and the fantasize that time is "malleable" because the
time periods they are perceiving from all the oscillators
in the universe are at different places, different relative velocities,
different accelerations, different pressures, etc.
They do this for political, racial and religious reasons,
and with the hope that they can overcome time and space,
"go where no man has gone before", and live in eternity.
Poor deluded fools.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
