If he's brilliant, and he very well might be, he'll eventually merge
his ideas back into the discipline. How he gets from A to B is his
to decide. If he does best reaching over the top of his head to
scratch his ear who are we to criticize? :-)
If he's not brilliant then it doesn't matter anyway and discussions
are a waste of time.
