I believe Einstein was the first to say that the universe is finite but
unbounded that it is closed. If this is true the form of the universe
is that of an expanding hypersphere.
I wish to point out what this means in terms of the 4th dimension. If
the universe is the surface a 4 sphere what about its center? It
appears that we can not move toward it. What is happening is that we
are moving away from it as the surface expands(the closed universe
grows.) Also by moving in the first 3 dimensions we seem to be
navigating the surface of the hypersphere. We are traveling its
expanding circumference in other words. These motions space expansion
and navigating the circumference are both motions in the 4th dimension.
I know its true but I don't know how.
I love Einstein. He was great.
