You wanted the NIST/MIT team to first accelerate their lab to near the
speed of light before running their experiment?
Not quite that fast, 18.5 miles per second will do nicely.
Radius of Earth's orbit 93,000,000 miles.
Time of Earth's orbit 1 year.
2 * pi * 93,000,000miles / (365.25days * 24hours) =
66659.392375964127578605027297512 mph.
18.516497882212257660723618693753 miles per second.
v²<<c² is smaller
than the error bars on the experiment.
Is it? I thought this was going to be most precise direct test.
Seems to me it proves nothing about Einstein, as E=1/2 mv² is
the energy of one cannonball fired from a tube, E=1/2 mv² is
the energy of the other cannonball leaving the tube at the other
end, so E=mv² is the energy of the spring in the middle before
it was compressed and pushed them apart.
Old Sorcerer, you can do better than that.
I did, the NIST/MIT team proved Newton was right and Einstein was wrong.
