| You do realise, don't you, that coal mining nowadays consists of
| more than just guys picking away with hand tools? There are massive
| machines down there, with lots of moving parts. The noise/signal ratio
| would be horrendous. And as has been pointed out, the big problem
| usually is getting to stuck miners. The location of a mine disaster is
| not typically a big mystery. It's just a big mess.

Yes I realize what goes on in such a place.
and as said. it is just a basic system to keep track of employees.
The machines can easily be avoided with a few rules of sensor placement.
anyways and noises can be muffled from the sensors pretty easily.
anyway.
It was just a thought so you can think about it more or you can just
call it a waste.
Personally I don't think it would be a waste.
