In terms of the Earth's shape these guys are on a wild goose chase with
differential rotation between cores rather than differential rotation
in the same core ,in this case- the mantle,across latitude.
What makes you think that I'm talking of 'differential rotation between
cores', whatever that might mean ?
Considering the value of working principles which rely on the
difference between the molten mantle rotating at 1000 miles an hour at
the Equator and diminishing to 0 at both poles it is almost impossible
to ignore that the Earth shape is conditioned by the rotational
difference between Equator and poles.
but the mantle isn't molten , it's 'plastic', but that's not the same as
'molten'
.
