My point was to introduce 3 ways to support your
point about non-linearity in energy continuity...
1) Meandering rivers
2) light bulbs in circuits
3) Cashmir sweaters.
each of which varies the *rate of energy flux* in proportion
to the applied potential.
As you (Doune) spec'd in your OP was to
have a look at thermodynamics, that's not a joke,
it's good stuff, personally I'm learning.
