As can be seen,

projects his fears and aspirations onto me.

Regarding my "clinically bloated ego",
I must point out that I am not a shooter,
I am a playmaker, and I always gave credit for
any success I enjoyed to teammates, family, friends, employees, etc.

The problem is that Usenet is populated by a few
guys who have had few ego building experiences in their lives,
and they hide behind the conventional wisdom of the moment,
be it politics, physics, sports, entertainment, etc.
and use this as a base from which to try to stroke their egos
by beating up on some victim.

I found out many years ago,
that the best way to give these guys
a dose of their own medicine
is to assume a position of superiority.

As can be seen by the basic positions I take,
I believe that "All men are created equal,
and entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness",
and as can be seen, I have always supported the rights
of free speech and the underdog as much as possible
without making their plight my fight.

As far as me ending up as a "foot note",
who cares who gets the headline,
if my team wins?

My philosophy is that one's actions
should be directed so that there is
a maximum amount of pleasure,
and a minimum amount of pain for ALL life.

As I told my kids and tell my grandchildren,
you don't own things, they own you,
be it a house, a car, a business, a nation, an ego, etc.
so be careful in selecting what you own.

Rather than project his fears and aspirations onto me,
I suggest that hanson download and read my article:
"God is culture."

He will be much richer for it.
