You know that Descarte realized that the computer the big mainframe in
the sky, cand and does try to fool people.
He realized that if we are ever to get anywhere, we have to only accept
those things which cannot be falsified.
That is to accept only those things, which we have no choice but to
accept as fact.
Now if you examine the way we study history, it is not using the proper
scientific method.
It is believing in Darwin, believing in evolution, believing in
numerous things and only putting forth that which fits, and even
fudging the facts and making great leaps to fill in the missing data to
arrive at a conclusion that see, we were right all along.
Descartes would call this the superstitious ramblings of folk people.
Not science.
