Re: We are, a mass extinction event.

Maybe a lot of it is the same old sensationalism.

"98 % of all species were wiped out, during the KT event 65 million
years ago, an asteroid meteor or something impacts earth, in the Gulf
of Mexico, and all species of dinosaur alive at that time go extinct.

So um how many would that be?

Um 16 families of dinosaur that we know of were alive at that time.

"But if we had more bones you see, then then things would be different
but the truth is, well almost all our displays are caster plasts.
Sorry. Yes almost all of them are made of plaster, we have a few bone
fragments with which we use to recreate great sea monsters of all
variety, and you could fit most of them in a shoe box"

Well it doesn't instill much confidence in these theories. Am I
exaggerating? Listen to it yourself and decide for yourself. This audio
book is out there.

And really if you look at humans as a mass extinction event, there may
well have been just one real nasty insect, which was alive at that time
65 million years ago, for a short time, which was very poisonous and it
killed everything.

There really isn't much actual proof of most of these assertions that
go on to be known as fact and form this world view.

There are some sad things in the bnook as well, where for instance a
man dedicates his entire life every spare moment with a slide rule
calculating tables, of the angle of the sun on the lines of latitude
for some reason to try and prove some data about ice ages, but he
dedicated all his free time his entire life to this task, dedicated man
of science that he was, and it could be done today in a couple hours on
a pc.
