You know the character Spock, did a great disservice to mankind.
To be logical, rational, sane, is to be seen as being an alien on
earth.
Of course they attached a cold machinelike stature to his personality
in some sort of apologetic rationalizing of our faulty programming as
humanity.

If that vairable (money) for instance was not a bug in the programing
of this age, then a VCR would be a beautiful thing to behold.
It would have a touch sensitive screen, and would be made of quality
materials, and last several lifetimes if necessary, with easily
interchangeable or replaceable components.
It would make no sound, and would have a timepiece installed that would
set itself and keep perfect time.

Money is not the root of all evil, it is just a bug in the computer
program, in an age where people are too delerious and docile to fix it.
They would rather have things fashing 12:00 am all over the house, live
lives that serve no purpose, and which consume them forever robbing
Peter to pay Paul, and hovering on the brink of insanity or suicide,
rather than enjoying the fruits of joint cooperative labor, and living
in huge inpenetratable fortresses, which could almost withstand
asteroid impact.

Modern man has the capacity to think great thoughts, but more often
than not, they end up in the waste basket of time, doubtless to amount
to just a dark smudge in the strata. An age of what?
What will our antecessors call us if not morons.
