WARNING: VERY TONGUE IN CHEEK RESPONSE (Too true still, but what the
hell)
Let me try and explain it in a way you can understand.
All equations have assumptions. You don't know her underlying
assumptions and so you have no way of predicting her behavior.
It strictly statistical modelings exercise. No string theory needed.
You have her behavior as your dataset; rate each incident from 1 to
100. Attempted murder gets a 5 and mind blowing sex a 90.
Track her responses to your behavior, and record as much as possible of
what occurred to her immediately prior to any major occurrence either
positive or negative.
If you plot these on a graph with response being the y-axis and time
being the x-axis you will find it creates a wild and difficult to
understand curve. That is not because she is so difficult to
understand but rather because the equation is multi-dimensional and
therefore impossible to model in only two dimensions.
The other dimensions that have to be added are her priorities.
Assume that she reacts positively or negatively in direct proportion to
events performance against her standards. Those standards will have a
good deal of noise from day to day variance (and phase of the moon, but
I digress). Therfore a large dataset is highly recommended(divorce
lawyers are expensive).
Those standards will however correlate to her priorities, and the level
that they affect her behavior will correlate to the severity of the
incident and the importance of the priorities that it touches on.
Rather than try and model all dimensions at the same time, draw cross
sectional graphs for each priority. The y axis is still response but
this time the x axis becomes an evaluation of how each point on the
original graph impacted positively or negatively the chosen priority.
The slope of a linear regression of this graph is the level of
importance she places on the represented priority.
Attempt this with every conservable priority.
Repeat the exercise for yourself.
Chart your score vs. hers for all dimensions.
Use this chart to calculate R^2, anything over 50% suggests the need to
propose marriage as soon as possible.
