PHYSICS NEWS UPDATE
The American Institute of Physics Bulletin of Physics News
Number 780 June 9, 2006 by Phillip F. Schewe, Ben Stein,
and Davide Castelvecchi www.aip.org/pnu
A HINT OF NEGATIVE ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE emerges from a new experiment
in which microwaves of two different frequencies are directed at a
2-dimensional electron gas.
Apart from the rest, what is correct likely, I have to point out to the
NON BOTS here that negative resistance is and has been in use in electronics
now for several decades, look up 'tunnel diode' or 'Esaki diode' for
example, and can also be simply achieved with an oamp.
In case of 'negative resistance' the current increases as the voltage
is lowered [for example] in a load.
It is not difficult to measure, nor difficult to set up.
So I dunno why SamBot capitalises 'negative resistance', it should
have capitalised '2-dimensionsl electron gas' perhaps.
