Hi!!
i think this is an elementary problem but i'm very confused.
i've already read the book "serway" on the part of fricton problems
but i can't find any answer.
This is the problem:
An object with mass 0.5 Kg will move through a vertical and circular
roller coaster with radius =1m
There is a a friction force of medium intensity of 7 N.
the velocity at the bottom of the roller coaster is v=12m/S .
What is teh velocity at the top?
Thanks in advance.

This is a very difficult problem using Newton's 2nd law, and a much
more manageable problem using conservation of energy. Go back to Serway
and look for examples involving friction in the conservation of energy
chapter. You might even find a roller coaster example or two.
