Bessel functions of large orders and large arguments arise in the analysis of
Gravitational Waves and other physical phenomena [Mathematical Physics,
abstract math-ph/0503037]. Graphical analysis of J1000000(x)
http://www.iging.com/Transcendental/J_1000000.htm
shows that satisfactory results for large arguments can be obtained with standard
PC hardware. For example,
J1000000(999995) = 4.267834146855037E-3
was calculated in 6.25 milliseconds with a relative error of epsilon < 2*10^(-13).
