Theoretical cooling rate of steel question
I have a requirement to find the expected drop in temperature over a
time scale of 1 foot piece of grade 483 42 inch XS pipe. The
temperature range of concern is the time it would take for the pipe to
drop from 300 F to 200 F, with an ambient temperature of 0 F, assuming
no wind. Is there some reference material that someone could refer me
to to calculate different scenerios for different sized pipe and wall
thicknesses?
Thank you.
