Hi Sergey_Karavashkin, I've been very busy coding ( for money ),
sorry.
Yeah, your code is so good you work for 20 hours to earn what a
Wal-Mart
Employee would get in 30 minutes.
Most of that doesn't matter, since the only
people Wal-Mart hires are Quantum Video Camera Cranks,
working for IBM's Sony dong-a-thon.with The Global Warming cranks
on sci.energy.Which the last we discovered is
a thermodynamics Usenet Group.
The people who Wal-Mart hires, use their earnings to put their
kids through college who, in turn, will design the new stuff
that Wal-Mart will sell in 20 years.
The people that Wal-Mart hires can't even buy the food and pay the rent
unless there's a second income in the household, much less are they
raising a family and putting their kids through college on their wage.
Immigrants are not allergic to laboring. Earning money is a
complete family affair, where family includes parents, kids,
grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. These types also know how
to not spend everything they make.
The town I used to live in was a center for Portuguese-speaking
immigrants. Each new family would work until they could pay
cash for their house. Please note that they did not expect
to live in places where 1000 sq.ft/person was a requirement.
The kids might be designing the new stuff that Wal-Mart will sell, while
paying off their student loans,
What loans? There is no loan if no money is borrowed. All that
lovely interest goes into their capital investements rather than
the banks or government or whoever is issuing the loan.
but it will be manufactured in China.
If it wasn't manufactured in China before, it will be if the company
wants Wal-Mart's business.
I suspect that 20 years from now manufacturing will move to
African countries who have figured out that old Cold War
habits don't work well. There are a couple of countries
who are working on their infrastructure. Both Asia and
Africa will benefit because they can skip the copper wire
infrastructure step.
After these areas become an established middle class, I suspect
the next manufacturing move will be back to Europe, then the
US. I'm not sure how South American attitudes are doing lately.
Those people seem to take one step forward and then three steps
back.
The United States still produces more per man hour
than any other nation, and can take over any market it targets,
unless the trade unions in the target product area,
inhibit the use of technology.
The bottom line is that the core cost of a product
is related to the cost of getting, transporting and process
the raw materials, and the efficiency at which the
raw materials are converted into salable items.
When unimpeded by trade unions, cartels, and government,
no nation can compete with America's manufacturing techniques
and core costs of converting raw materials are converted into salable items.
America is far ahead in manufacturing techniques and technology
such as TQM, QC, the real time use of Weibull techniques to
control manufacturing processes, software, hardware, etc.
(Actually, Norway is slightly more efficient than The US,
when it comes to smaller and less complex items.)
