If you believe otherwise, you are an idiot. Wealth is created by
creating something of value. The money you earn represents the added
value to the economy you've created for those who partake of that which
you create. Any other theory of value, ESP the labor "theory" of value,
is a crank theory.
Government can only cut the pie differently. Those who are truly
successful are the ones that make bigger pies.
You confused wealth (useful things) with the meaning in economics of the
word "value." Values are the relative proportions with which various
commodities trade with one other; for example, in one time and place,
a certain kind of automobile might exchange for five thousand loaves
of bread. This is different from the discussion of creating wealth.
However, in both cases, labor is the significant parameter. Wealth is
produced by the working class mixing its mental and physical labor
with nature's raw materials. Also, the value of a fungible commodity
is generally proportional to the socially-necessary labor time
required for its production (required when using the methods
that are typical of that location and histoical period).
