What kind of seas should I avoid ?

Hi T.J., Speaking of me sailing to the Rock Islands from Seattle,
You told me something like:
Hire a crew for rock islands ? they'll pay you.
By then you'll have your 300 ton Yacht Master's license.
You can get 3 or 4 bodies on the boat by selling charter tickets
for about 50 grand.
But who's going to sail the boat for the 12 hours I'm not at the helm ?
Wouldn't they have to have Yacht Master's licenses too ?
They'd need their own PCs and Global_Star internet connections, I imagine.
How long would it take to get there ?
What kind of seas should I avoid ?
