Re: Subconsciousness and Quantum theory. Is it possible?

Some comments.
1.
I use 100% of my brain.
2.
Wow
Subconsciousness and quantum physics? Great imagination , but false.
Subconsciousness is not something developed , its something you can
find
, which is yet floated up to your consciousness.
For example you do not like the girl whose voice is high tone
..you donot know why . Its because your mother has quite often yelled at
you.
Developing brain is nothing to do with subconsciousness.
Psychologist use this term mainly to explain our hidden desire ,
trauma or scar or hope.
3.
Thank you so much Socratus for starting of this most
thought provoking thread, I agree we are taught virtually
nothing regard the subconscious, and psychologists
seem to understand little of its inner workings.
I think too, that you have made an interesting connection between
the subconscious and that of the quantum theory.
4.
What if everything was happening inside of you and
through taught beliefs people only thought they were separate,
thus no more dualism
5.
There's a little misunderstanding here.
That we use only about 10% of our brain is true,
but we can't ' train ' ourselves to use the remaining part.
It is, in fact, the evolutionary process.
Perhaps tenth generation from our time will start using on average
12% brain, and perhaps after a million years
(if human race is still surviving), will the homo-sapiens will be able
to use almost 100% of brain.
6.
Interesting concept.
Question does your consciousness give you intuition...
or does your intuition give you conscious?
7.
Hmm. Finding similarities between the subconscious
and quantum theory could take you interesting places.
But there's a much easier way to "develop" the subconscious mind.
It's called learning to be critical, or thinking about how you think,
or becoming conscious of how subconsious processes
(stereotypes, preconceptions, personal and interpersonal
experiences, emotions, memories) affect the conscious ones.
8.
I think there's a clearer philosophical-historical answer to this:
the Western tradition is to consider the human being as a divided
being:
mind-body; soul-spirit; analysis-synthesis; conscious-unconscious;
left brain-right brain. This notion comes from Ancient Greece:
greeks thought that there were several "souls", each one accountable
for a part of human behavior. Centuries later, Rene Descartes strongly

influenced our current thought with his mind-body dualistic theory.
It survives to this day. Anyone who has seen cerebral blood
flow images of the brain knows that the 10% myth is just that:
a myth - we use all of our brain - it wouldn't make evolutionary sense
to waste 90% of the brain if we could go by with only 10%.
Of course, this 100% can be used in different ways and
that's what makes everybody unique.
The nervous system is no different from any other matter
- so quantum theory holds true in its constituent elements.
9.
Ha ha - interesting concept but I don't think
the world is ready for this yet.
10.
sounds fascinating......im gonna get on that right away!
11.
There is also a theory that people can communicate subconsciously
on a genetic level, but only in an extra dimensional manner,
by way of "junk DNA." Do you think there could be a connection?
I believe anything is possible until proven otherwise.
12.
I too have thought about it.
You can read about Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox
and Bell's theorem in quantum physics for deeper insights.
Its difficult to apply those to the neuronal transmission.
Do discuss with me.....
13.
would it be that dualism exist in human mind only,
considering that consciousness is not a mind?
Nobody knows non dualistic perceptions , just guessing..
..Seems to me that intuition is not dual at all...and not linear,
would be considered superconductive. Holographic? perhaps.
Why not? and definitely perceived by brain but not of it,
perhaps not even of a mind...Now, quantum physic would explain
some mystery of consciousness much closer than mind and brain... ....
If Cause is understood effects will be....
Study effects does not explain cause at all but creates
ongoing divisions represented by "dualism".
Cause and effect is also representation of duality....
Cause only in not dual...Would it be that spontaneous manifestation
of intuition is evidence of awareness which is not dual too,
thus very a little known?
