I'm not sure what the setup you're asking about is, but if you put a
block on a frictionless slope, the block would start sliding; thus, the
block would be moving horizontally. Could you perhaps describe the
setup in more detail, or draw a picture and post a link to it?





thus technically wouldn't the x_horizontal force = 0
since ***INSTEAD*** if one uses a finger to simulate the same
x_horizontal force then the block and slope would indeed both move on
the ice ?? .. ??
