Lakes of methane spotted on Titan (Jan 5)
http://physicsweb.org/article/news/11/1/2
The northern hemisphere of Saturn's largest moon, Titan, is dotted with
lakes of methane, claim planetary scientists from across the USA and
Europe. The existence of the lakes, which range from 3 to 70 km in
diameter, could mean that methane on Titan participates in a continuous
cycle of evaporation, condensation and rainfall -- remarkably similar to
the role water plays on Earth (Nature 445 61).
