Q: shadow of a ball bearing in laser light

You can see an example of the shadow of a ball bearing in laser light
near the bottom of this PDF.

Note the bright spot in the centre of the shadow and the rings.
Would this pattern also be obtained if the photons were supposedly sent
one at a time?
