The origin of the known Universe.

Hi Tom_Potter,
Suppose you had observed the moon for awhile, noting its regularity...
Now suppose you were locked in a dungeon,
where you simply could not ever observe the moon nor its effects...
Is the moon still there ? or is it just a metaphysical notion, like angels ?
How do you model the photo-electric effect, the EPR effect
and Bose-Einstein systems... or do you just ignore all that ?
Personally, I think you're simply afraid of zooming too far out or in.
You don't like pondering the " Origin of the species ",
much less the origin of the known Universe.
Remember this:
Following Jesus' example will just get you nailed to the cross
by a gang of law-obsessed, inhumane government stooges.
In conversations were the word " God " is mentioned,
I've found that it basically means:
The higher powers ( e.g. your landlord, boss, cops, judges etc. )
that effect your fate.
Also, religious people tend to be more optimistic than sober-minded,
using euphemisms like " Heavenly Father " instead of " My Fate ".
Consuming more just means dying that much sooner.
Wealth is relative... And money is a poor yardstick.
.
