steam tite inside the shoe .

2 inch of vane is 1300 pounds .

thats 1200 cubic inch steam per second.

thats 10 % of a v8 13000 cubic inch second power stroke.

thats 10 % a 400 cid steam engine t 12000 cubic inch second.

You cant wear this sliding vane rotor out.

The shoe can fit 3 blades at 1 time . turn so there is no friction
between the shoe and the blades. and change distance from the rotor as
more blade is extended.
The shoe director wheel can rotocup and has a rod to the cam wheel as
the vane is steam tite yet has no friction.
It can be done with an outer hub as well.
where the sliding vane rotor is not in a hub that dont turn with the
rotor.
thats a free spin hub .
A free spin hub can have sides on it for 45 deg
and the hub beeing bigger around wount have sides at the bottom .
but with the outer hub or shoe wheel a blade is just pushed against it
with little friction wile steam tite.
You can just slide the vane thew a slot near steam tite but will wear
it out sooner.
The only point that is just near steam tite .005
with the wheel director is the sides of the director at the outer edge
of the rotor .
the shoe shits against the rotor flush wile its inside wheel is
conected to the cam rod .
the vanes will turn that dw.
2 vanes are allways 100 % between .
as soon as the vane starts sliding back in its out the shoe .
the director wheel is the same size as the cam wheel. 12 inch cog wheel
looks like it could ride a 3 inch rail . the top of the vane will hit it
and the sides will slide by it at .005 .
1/3 inch vane out is 1 square inch vane out.
2/3 inch a .005 gap is the only non steam tite point.
I stick lube in that gap.
re-use the lube and the water.
its quite strong and wount ever let you down.

the spring on a vane is just like a valve spring but dont work 1/8 th as
hard.
The slide in and out on a vane is 1/8th a valve stem.
The parts get light duty and wount ever bust.
You cant over work a ssvr.
put a load on it and go,

you nead 2600 foot pounds all day !!
