He brought an irrelevant amount of Physics into a discussion that didn't
warrant it, with the intention of drawing me into an area of ignorance,

an attempt to make look a fool. I thought I'd humour him and let
him try. After all, he has been talking nonsense about martial arts, an
area which he knows little about. I thought it would be interesting to
establish if it was his ignorance that was making act slippery and sound
stupid. It appears to be something inate, rather than an accident
brought
on by circumstance.

I didn't say it was entertaining. This is a conflict with background. I
didn't as for a fight, but had one forced on me. I get cranky when people
try to force me to do something. I would have left the whole lot of them
alone, but they pushed it too far. So this protracted argument is just the
tip of the iceberg of a long running saga. I've been knocking the fight out
of all of them, one by one. That's just my way. You can tune out if you
find it grating.
