There are many example of galaxy spawning. Most pictures of "colliding"
galaxies are usually a spawning of a small galaxy by a larger galaxy.

Take a look at the Whirlpool Galaxy M51 does it look like two galaxies
colliding or does it look like big galaxy spawning a small galaxy.

Around the Milky Way there are 14 small galaxies or satellite galaxies. They
were all spawned by the Milky Way.

Galaxy M32 was spawned from Andromeda and the effect of the spawning is
still evident in the galactic arms of Andromeda.

The notion that galaxies attract each other by gravity and collide is
incorrect. From the observation of the expanding universe it is obvious that
galaxies repel each other.
