He has nothing.

He is a retired salesman who has spent his entire life selling
technology to scientists of varying sorts. He seems to think that
because he sold stuff to people, he understands how that stuff works.

My mostly-complete physics degree trumps his god-knows-how-many years
of experience selling things to people as far as physics is concerned,
and he has not yet, even once, been able to carry his weight in an
argument about relativity.
