At least the John 3:16 crowd doesn;t post the same stupid rant over
and over. Let's just call the Holy Writ according to Saint Tom Potter,
starting at "General Relativity is a Tower of Babel", and label is
Potter 1:69. The reason for those numbers is that there is only one of
you (Thank God!), but you essentially try to 69 yourself.

So, instead of posting the same nonsense, just put "Potter 1:69", and
we'll all know what you mean. You complain about the alleged waste of
GR, but contribute to enormous waste of bandwidth yourself.


It is enlightening to compare General Relativity to other models.

After Newton's model,
there were immediate and rapid advances
in mechanics, astronomy, etc.

After Maxwell's model
there were immediate and rapid advances
in chemistry, electricity, etc.

After Watson's and Crick's DNA model
there were immediate and rapid advances
in medicine, genetics, animal husbandry,
the history of the Earth and Mankind, etc.

I noticed in the news in the last few days,
that the DNA model was recently used to develop
a new form of rice that will prevent 500,000 children
from going blind EVERY YEAR,
and that it was used to convert blood types,
and that people with rare blood types will have a safe
supply of blood in the future,
and I see that DNA tests may have saved Anna Nicole Smith's baby
from becoming shark bait.

As can be seen Newton's, Maxwell's and the DNA model
are being used daily **in the free market** in "fruitful" ways,

You would know about "fruits".


where as, as can be seen by the recent news,

over one billion of the tax payers dollars have been spent
on just one of the many projects to rationalize General Relativity
( Gravity Probe-B ).

Of course, if experiments WEREN"T done to verify GR, you would belly
ache about the "conspiracy" to protect GR, and whine about "the
religion of relativity". If the experiment were done cheaply, you
would claim that a cheaply done experiment wouldn't have the accuracy
to actually disprove GR, so the cheapness would be a "conspiracy".

If GR actually were a big waste, wouldn't it be worth a mere billion
dollars to finish it off once and for all?

By the way, the Chinese steal far more than this from the US taxpayer,
through pirated software (basically 99.9% of Chinese software is
unlicensed, aka STOLEN). Why don't you try to collect this far vaster
loss to the Treasury from the Chinese, being that you are THERE and
kissing their asses and all?
