The wisest thing I ever heard

The wisest thing I ever heard
was said by a Special Education teacher
in an education class I took..

This guy taught retarded kids skills
that would enable them to be productive citizens.

He stated that the main thing he tried to teach them was
"Don't make work. Do work!"

As an example,
if he was teaching them to sweep, mop, or paint,
he made a special point of showing how they could
make work, rather than do work,
and he tried to teach them to FOCUS on ending up
"Doing work, rather than making work."

I adopted his philosophy
and tried to emphasize the importance
of "Doing work, rather than making work."
to my kids, grandkids, students and employees.

When they were "making work",
I told them to get lost,
and come back when they learned how to "Do work".

The reason I raise this point is that
ignorant and antisocial people
"Make work" rather than "Do work."

For example Bush has
"Made an enormous amount of Work"
for his successors to "Do".

Do you "Do Work"
or "do you Make work"?
