There is a special sense organ on a cat. It is located
below the eyes and above the mouth. In English, we call
it the "nose". Humans have one of these too, but it is

"odor", and consists of trace amounts of chemicals.
In this case, the most reasonable hypothesis is that
dying people have a characteristic smell. This cat chooses
to react in a particular way.
