Putting plastic in landfills is not the problem.

The problem is that we dont have any plants that can grow in plastic without
dirt.

If we could only get rid of dirt then nobody would ever be dirty again. Is
plastic really so bad ?

I ran into a group of conspiracy theorists handing out Micheal Moore
pamphlets today downtown which said 911 was an inside job.
And you know its not that people don't know that.
They are just not in a position to do anything about that.
But thats not my real point, because there is one really plain example
of why I believe humans are evil.

I am sure you have all heard about plastic in landfills, and how
plastic lasts for millions of years without breaking down.
Unless you make contact lenses out of it.
Then they put an expiry date of 3 months on unopened packages.
They tell you that these plastic contact lenses, in a saline solution,
in a little package, will expire in 3 months.

And you cannot buy any other longer lasting plastic contact lenses in
the entire world.

And that right there is proof, that humans are evil.

Plastic does not expire in 3 months.

So I ask the girl at the counter at my optometrists, and I say, "is
this an edible vegetable product? What if I use them after 6 months?

And she says "Well they will last up to 2 years but you are supposed
to throw them away if you don't use them in 3 months"

Well, there you have it.
Evil is, as evil does.

Plastic does not expire in 3 months. Yet no one, read no one, sells
long lasting non expiring contact lenses.

So you see beating your drum is hardly worth while, when humans are
just plain evil anyways.
