A "heaven" programmer? The correct way to do this is to use an
operating system and computer hardware with some actual security built
into it. Sadly because of the mental ineptitude of the current and
past generation of programming so-called "experts", your computer is a
wide open door to anyone with the $k1II5.
the thing with me is that i can not do anything really good
if i'm not having xtrem fun and security has always been something i
take for granted because of that. now some coworker of mine
has a copy of my designs and it really feels that it is unfare.
i mean how is a good programer suppose to have any chance with
a great company like apple or microsoft with all this pirates around?
Total stupidities abound. Back doors. Trap doors. Allowing anyone on
the internet to install and run programs on your computer. Allowing
audio and image files to install programs and run them on your system.
Using SOFTWARE as a so-called "firewall" ... Yeah that will
work...NOT! No way to restore the system to it's original state after
each session. No provision for running from read-only memory. In
short, today's computer's are an open invitation to hacking. If the
hard drive you want to write to can be accessed some other way than if
you turn a freakin' KEY SWITCH it's not "secure". And even then go
read about locking the damn door!
i ve been building structure for more that 15 years
in a computer i never ever plug into the internet and
now i think somebody had access to it from the
electric outlet!!!
Doubtful. But signals inside the computer DO run out the power lines
and can be picked up at distance. The gummint used to spec "tempest"
computers for classified work. These were EM shielded to reduce the
amount of tracking signals emitted. Today they don't use them because
they really didn't work. Today if you want a shielded computer you
isolate it in a metal room that waves can't enter and power it from a
battery or at least through a really good line filter. (No surge
suppressors won't do anything but take your money)
And don't forget to have guards and a strong un-pickable lock on the
door. The old black bag job is still a totally valid way to get
computer data!
I know that this is the reality we live in and in a way it doesnt
boder so much now if someone watches what i do or where i crap
as long as they do not still my intelectual property.
it is obious now that even this is imposible.
is XS of noise comming from speakers and everywhere
a good indication that this truly could had happen?
is there any way to protect youre work at all?
No it isn't. But it could be a sign that someone was there and left
you a little "present". I told you the effort needed to be "secure"
and NOBODY takes it. Nobody cares. So why should you? Hey if they
hacked your computer, just go buy a new one and start your work over.
You should always have the "latest version" of everything anyway.
that is true. i have already thoath of a way of making
everything again from the ground up and many times better
but i will keep it all in my mind until i finally have the chance to
work for a great computer entertainment corporation that can take
care of security.
