Question: would there be enough carbon in 10 (long) human hairs to
yield a cut and polished weight of 0.56 carats? (I think I hear the
sound of a laughing troll.)
Say a single strand weighs about 0.5 mg- ballpark estimate, because the
hair is dehydrated. Say it's 100% carbon (it's not, but the point is...)
10 strands = 5 mg. 0.56 carats = 112 mg.
And you can tell the difference between 5 mg and 112 mg by weighing
them in the palms of your hand, like I suggested. The OP threw a hissy
fit when I suggested that.
Therefore, the scheme is yet
another way to fleece idiots, like the "laser comb"
