Re: Just how 'different' is the Quantum World?

Underlying the differences of object behaviours between macro and

The macro and micro worlds simply present different models for
determining position. The difference in these models is not important
here. What is important is that for both worlds the notion of position
is not sustainable, as quantum theoreticians and metaphysicians know
only too well.

The idea of multiple worlds is likewise an attempt to secure position.
The attempt fails, as the difficulty that possible worlds was meant to
overcome is merely cast in another form, where position is separated
from position by something equally obscure.

Positions of particles can be measured in QM with infinite precision.
But then you give up any chance of having even the slightest knowledge
of its momentum. This is the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. So
there's really no problem with the definition of position in QM at
all.
