Sam My thinking tells me the capacitor does not store electrons. It
can only build up a "charge" (voltage) The charge on the electron is the
fundamental "unit" of electricity. I admit this is tricky stuff. When a
capacitor discharges it is not a flow of electricity. It is like clouds
discharging (static electricity) I repeat electricity can not be stored
period. It can be built up,and that is what a capacitor does. They are
used to give heavy electric motors a kick. All home air-conditioners
have them. They no more store electrons than a battery Give me a break.
