: Interesting hypothesis. Where are there astronomical observations
: suggesting different lightspeeds for different wavelengths in
: interstellar space? I'm assuming you have some.
Of course I do. The difference in speed is quite small, maybe 5%,
but over 21 million optical light years it can make a difference of as
much as a million years in travel time.
The superimposed blue and red photographs here are taken in the
order of a million years apart.

"30,000 light-year-long shockwave" my arse. It's a dead giveaway
when someone starts a sentence with "In fact" that they are making
a wild guess, backed up with claims of "likely".
In fact, this pencil is likely broken. I can see it is. (That's to support
my blind faith in the constancy of the velocity of light.)

It's an empirical observation, too, so it must be broken. You should
be thoroughly convinced if I say "empirical".
: It's more like +/- 30 light years, anyway.
Or +/- 350 light years, you have no idea at all and are guessing.
All it takes is one astronomer to write a figure down and it becomes
holy gospel, just like Big Bang theories.
