At the Big Bang (whether cyclic or not), the Universe according to
Probable Causation/Influence has Causation/Influence as its most
Fundamental property, which includes time. However, if order to
accelerate and/or expand, time has to have separated from space at
least partially, or time has to have generated space.

We will consider the Universe's Control of its expansion and/or
acceleration beginning from the time of the first separation or
generation of space, say T_sg.

At T_sg, there is one arguably "unquestionable" initial condition of
space S or distance d, namely in the distance variable:

1) d = 0 at T_sg

The Universe, in other words, can be regarded as having had its
"spatial clock" set at 0 distance.

However, 0 distance is equivalent to infinite proximity ("nearness"),
or to use the intuitive description of distance as "farness", the
opposite of "farness" is "nearness", and we have:

2) proximity = infinity at T_sg

This suggests that the Universe has a "notion" of 0 and positive
infinity (+ infinity). Then applying the notion of + infinity to d,
just as (2) did to proximity, the Universe must arguably have an
indication of:

3) d = infinity at or after T_sg

It will be argued that "infinite distance" has not yet been created or
even that it might never be created, but notice that a finite distance
or finite proximity will not be satisfactory for Knowledge/Semantic
Information, since when distance is 0, there is no greater proximity
possible, and there is no known finite "universal constant" to
represent this (roughly speaking, there is nothing even hypothetically
analogous to c in velocities/speeds for the case of distances).

The TARGET state or condition of the Universe when it begins
expanding, which time will be designed T_exp, is therefore:

4) d = infinity at T_exp

From an optimal control or Kalman filter-predictor viewpoint, an
analogous example would be controlling a spacecraft headed for the
moon. The TARGET distance is the distance from spacecraft to moon,
which presumably should eventually be 0, while the distance from
spacecraft to Earth and Earth to moon also enter the picture
importantly. The infinite distance d in (4) would correspond to the
hypothetical case of the moon being at infinite distance from either
the spacecraft (at some time) or the Earth or both.

Finally, at some time T_infl in the very early Universe, Inflation
arguably occurred, with exponential velocity or even possibly higher.
This was the first enormous acceleration after the Big Bang (unless
they coincided). It is easily obtained from the Riccati Differential
Equation:

5) a = dv/dt = A(t) + B(t)v + C(t)v^2

for example with B(t) = kt (k positive constant) and A(t) = 0 =
C(t).

The suggestion is that the Universe "modulated" the infinite distance
(and possibly infinite velocity) scenario via the Riccati Differential
Equation during Inflation. It may well have "changed equations"
later, or "zeroed out" its previous equation later via a more general
equation with phase constants or even phase variables.
