Pretty obvious you haven't studied physics, NoEinstein.
It is interesting to see "Sam Wormley" admit
that he never learned anything after he got out of college.
It must be nice to learn so much in a few college classes,
that one can go to any company and any job,
and know all one has to know about
motors, generators, electronic devices, computers, systems,
plastics, chemistry, mechanics, hydraulics, structures, etc.
Apparently Sam went to the same school that Gisse
is going to, where they teach everything about everything.
I'll try to get my grandkids to go to that college.
Have your grandkids ever read your posting record? :-0
My grandkids think I'm pretty cool.
They really get a kick out of me twisting the tails of bigots and
phonies.
What do your grandkids think about you?
They just laugh and laugh when I read to them from
your posting record, Potter!
I am pleased to hear that Sam Wormley's grandchildren
find my posts entertaining.
Here are a few example of what breaks them up.
===============
Sam's Pappy used to take Sam
for walks on the farm,
and write equations on the outhouses,
and tell Sammy,
"Be careful, don't step in the hungalla!"
"That ain't Shinola, you know,"
------------------------
I assume that you think that you post "interesting science",
and that you want folks to read your "interesting science" posts,
so if you make some "interesting science" posts,
please call my attention to it,
an I'll be sure to read your "interesting science" post.
It would be helpful if you would attach the phrase
"interesting science post by Wormley",
and I will occasionally do a Google search
so that I don't miss any of your "interesting science" posts.
------------------------
Sam, there is a difference between a clock
and an oscillator.
An oscillator oscillates,
and a clock accumulates ticks,
and is periodically referenced to
a master clock which maintains the standard time.
------------------------
Potter--Do you think your posting made any sense
Only to folks that have good reading comprehension in English,
and a good understanding of math, physics and history.
------------------------
This is a more better list, Potter
A "more better list"?
Potter talk... We must speak his language! :-)
I can assure Sam Wormley that the ONLY time
I use low brow phrases like "more better"
is when I parrot stupid people.
------------------------
"Sam Wormley" makes a good point
when he points out that GTR Gurus use 12 hacks of Relativity
to come up with the same "correction" to the GPS clocks,
that can be achieved with ONE equation
discovered over 300 years ago by Galileo.
f = f0 * ( 1 + 1/2 * g * distance / C^2)
It is amusing to see that GTR promoters persistently try to con folks
into thinking that they are privy to powerful, esoteric knowledge.
------------------------
That's Tom Potter pappy got mad about--Tom playing with fire
of the horses ass.
It is interesting to see that "Sam Wormley"
is beginning to catch on to the fact
that I "play" with the "horse's asses" in sci.physics,
that emanate smoke and fire from their orifices.
Smoke = Einstein babble and the instigation of conflict
Fire = flaming
------------------------
THE GPS MARKET IS EXPECTED TO BE WORTH $757 BILLION BY 2017
What hath Galileo, Newton, Maxwell, Doppler, Hubble wrought?

Sorry if this is OT, but the aeronautics group is dead. It might also be
a
banal and stupid question, but it's not entirely obvious.
Why does the force of jet combustion go out the rear? Maybe the intake
blades have a different angle of attack, but that's probably too simple.
One wants the thrust to the rear...
According to the surveys that I have seen,
most folks prefer the missionary position.

Gaby, you are a excellent example of a person who can't think
critically. Pity that you painted yourself into the anti physics
corner! And now acting like an adolescent!
The three laws of Zombotics:
1. Worship General Relativity and conventional wisdom.
2. Protect other Zombies unless it violates law #1.
3. Attack non-Zombies if they profane law #1.

As Sam is too modest to post information about his web site,
I'll do it for him.

Very impressive!
No wonder Sam doesn't use
"sam_wormley.com" as the Internet address for his store.
------------------------
Better yet Sam,
YOU calculate the relativistic effects on satellite clocks,
without using any Classical Physics hacks,
and show step by step how you arrived at the numbers,
as several of us have in computing the affects of
distance (Hubble Effect)
velocity (Doppler Effect)
acceleration (Galileo Effect)
on the orbiting oscillators.
Don't bluster Sam.
just demonstrate that General Relativity
is a viable, useful model,
and that you know how to use this model,
and convey the results to an audience.
And explain why you think it is essential
to offset the oscillators in the GPS system.
------------------------
No, No, pal Potter, I said, "Major blunder, Potter--Umesh probably
doesn't know that you are a registered crank and that your web pages
are so bad that the need to be taken down". You forgot so quickly,
pal Potter!
Oh, I see Sammy!
I am a "registered crank" with you,
and your primary reference,
that unemployed computer programmer,
that "registers" folks.
Thanks for clearing that up Sammy.
As my Pappy used to say:
"One gets better information from the horse's mouth,
than one gets from a horse's ass."
------------------------
I was pleased to see that "Jim E. Black"
included the old personal attack page
from Sam Wormley's phony "edu" account,
as it provides insight into Sam's basic personality.
http://web.archive.org/web/20050322182425/http://www.edu-observatory....
------------------------
I must point out to you Sammy,
that "time" is what ONE'S own clock indicates,
NOT what an observer sees when he
observes other periodic processes,
which may or may not be another observer's clock.
You seem to think that if someone runs at
my clock that it changes the frequency (Angular velocity)
of the oscillator that I use for my clock.
------------------------
Sammy, if any of your grandchildren ever get depressed
like you do around Christmas, let me know,
and I'll make some more posts about you
that will cheer them up.
