I noticed that my tea was getting colder faster the more I drank ofThe heat capacity is proportional to the mass. Since the surface area

In other words, liquid held heat less efficiently then when cup was
full.
gotta be a simple physical explanation,
like specific heat capacity related to mass or volume?
stays constant (at least the top surface, we can assume the heat conducted
through the cup is much less than the one lost from the top), the power of
heat given away stays constant (at a given temperature, it decreases as
the temperature of the tea approaches the ambient temperature), so it'll
cool down faster.
