| A pipe that long would have a very large mass and inertia. Now I know
glass
| marbles aren't easily compresssible but they are compressible. You could
| force one in and the bulk of the marbles wouldn't move. You would compress
a
| quantity of the marbles at that end.. The pressure wave caused would
travel
| off down the pipe but at what speed? It's not clear that it travels at the
| speed of light.

Put more marbles in until they are no longer spherical.
If the x-section of your tube is square the marbles will become cubes
and completely fill the space. Then they are incompressible, an object
can only be compressed if there is empty space for it to move into.
Now the last marble in the tube has to move as soon as the first
does and the speed of the impulse is infinite.
If the marbles are neutrons then

black holes do not exist, the extrapolation has gone too far.
